Oracle Integration - RPA

Robot process automation bots work by mimicking human actions through user interfaces. As the UX designer on this project, I transformed the flow creation experience from a manual, context-switching process into a streamlined recording system that captures entire workflows in a single pass.

Smart Recording

During early prototype reviews, I observed developers constantly switching between the flow canvas and the target webpage.

The existing browser plugin could only target individual UI elements one at a time. Adjusting the plugin to record a flow removed this tedious back and forth.

The recorder is a chrome extension that you use to build robots.

Test and Refine

I took a hands-on approach throughout the project, using the tools as we built them. This allowed me to identify areas to refine the UX and deliver the right solutions when they were needed most.

The initial drawer design allowed required fields to hide behind the Output tab. The updated design fixes this while also providing refined access to the most logical variable type.
